During this unit of work, students will have the opportunity to learn about Indigenous innovations and the environmental sustainability of these innovations. Students will have the opportunity to learn about how Indigenous culture and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples connection to Country gave them a deep understanding of ecological knowledge. They will investigate the properties and materials that were used to innovate tools and weapons and how science was used for hundreds of thousands of years prior to colonisation.
