This activity is perfect for developing children’s counting skills, number recognition and memory skills.
This would be a great way to also incorporate Indigenous language by using the local Indigenous language word for each number.
Literacy pack – Comprehension worksheets Stage 2 , 3 & 4.
In this pack you will get 5 comprehension worksheet sets. Each of the 5 reading sheets are based around Indigenous innovations and inventions. Each reading worksheet comes with a question and answer worksheet. These can be used in a guided reading centre where students can independently complete each of the sets. Another way to use these worksheets could be as an early finisher booklet. To extend each of these activities students could do a mini information report on each of the innovations after completing the comprehension worksheet. You could even turn this activity into a STEM challenge and get students to invent something using one of the innovations. eg: Students could make a canoe by researching and learning about how to make and use resign to create a canoe.
