This Science unit of work will investigate traditional Australian Indigenous bush medicine. For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples have been caring for and sustaining Mother Earth. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples have such a deep connection to the land, animals, plants, sky and waters. In caring for Country Indigenous Australians have developed such an in-depth system of knowledge around all living things. They looked after Country because they knew that Country would look after them. They have survived for over 60,000 thousand years because of this relationship with Mother Earth and all living and non-living things.
